This is a tutorial on how to turn an ordinary bottle into a beautiful piece of artwork! Download to see full screen!

For examples of bottles, check out my gallery! I have a ton of them on there! Most of them are towards the back of my gallery ---> [link]

If anyone does a bottle please notify me and send me a link to bottle/s you have designed. I would like to know how my tutorial helped you through your process.

Credit to tutorial is mine. I have spent years learning how to do this and have developed this step by step method for your convenience. ENJOY!

STEP 1: HOW TO PAINT BOTTLES (BOTTLE PAINTING)

STEP 2: SUPPLIES: LIST OF SUPPLIES NEEDED
Bottles (Wine or Liquor) *Remove any labels on bottle with hot water and a spoon. **You can let them soak in hot water as well then remove labels.

Painter Markers/ Deco Markers/ Sharpies (5 pack). *There are several packs of these markers.

Acrylic Paint (Basic/ Liquitex) *Preferably start off with (red, blue, yellow, black and white). **You can mix up just about any color with these 5 colors.

Micron Pens/ Uni-ball Pens/ Pencil *Pens are for doing very fine detail and pencil is for sketching out your ideas in sketchbook.

High quality gloss spray *You can find them in the spray paint section or just buy varnish. **Both work well.

Spray paint *Use for base coat on bottle (or acrylic), for splatter designs using inside of cap and for a spray paint look to your work. **Let spray paint dry for about 15 minutes

Sketchbook *To sketch out any ideas that you have and that you may want to incorporate into your bottle.

STEP 3: PAINT OR SPRAYPAINT
Remove all labels and coat bottle with your choice of media, either spray paint or acrylic. *You may have to add more than one coat to get a good base coat (2 to 3 coats). **Both paint and spray paint work different so experimenting first is recommended.

STEP 4: DESIGNS
Do a few designs to get a good idea and outline of what you want to do on your bottle. *Roughly 4 designs and then from there make an executive decision on which one to go with.

STEP 5: ACRYLICS (BASIC/ LIQIUTEX)
Begin to add your acrylic paint to the bottle. *You may add acrylic to bottle at any step beyond step 3 and up.

STEP 6: PAINTER MARKERS/DECO MARKERS/SHARPIES
Use markers to add detail to areas needed. *You can use makers to paint as well.

STEP 7: MICRON PENS/ UNI-BALL PENS
Use pens to add very fine detail to areas needed. *Good to use on areas that have black. **Can really add the last finishing touch to make your piece that much better.

STEP 8: GLOSS
Spray gloss on to give the bottle shine and protection. *Helps to prevent any damage being done to bottle. **Let the gloss dry for about 15 minutes.

STEP 9: FINISHED PRODUCT
You have just gone through my tutorial and are at the last step where you can finally see what all hard work you have put in and can see the results! Hope they turned out well.

If anyone learns or develops any new ideas, styles, or methods that I have not stated here please let me know since I myself am a student too and would like to learn from others. I may incorporate them in my tutorial as well.

Soon I will develop a tutorial of me doing all this live and will record it and post it up so you can see a hands on version of how to paint bottles. Video coming soon!
